Our History

How it all Started

When Ed Burke found the company in 1998, he had one mission, to provide his customers with the highest quality fabric printing. Today, the company has grown into a global business with offices worldwide, but our mission still remains the same to provide our customers with exceptional fabric printing and innovative display solutions.

1998
Established In North America

The Look Company was first established in 1998 under the name The Fabric Communication Network and specialized in large format printing, banners, and flags.

2001
First International Sporting Event

TFCN provided the branding for the Edmonton IAAF Games, which was our first international sporting event contract.

2005
Established In Qatar

The Look Company was established in Qatar to create the look of the 15th Asian Games held in 2006 in Doha. In the summer of 2005, The Look Company Qatar consisted of 5 employees. One year later, the team had grown to 450 project managers, designers, CAD, engineers and installers to transform the city and venues.

2010
Expansion Into Retail

The Look Company North America expanded its operations to become a complete solution provider with in house hardware design and manufacturing. In the same year, TLC expanded its product offering to include visual engagement solutions for retail.

2017
Moved To Larger Facility

The Look Company North America moved its headquarters and manufacturing to a larger facility in Barrie, Ontario to accommodate business growth and expansion.

2019
Expansion In Europe

The Look Company expanded its operations in Europe with a new 60,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility in in Saint Pierre en Faucigny, France.

2020
New Luxury Brand Studio Saint Pierre

Studio Saint Pierre, The Look Company’s specialized luxury brand was formed in Europe to offer new finishes to customize interiors and objects, from basic metal surfaces to artistic bespoke textures.

2025
The Look Company Acquires OAI +Rainier

The acquisition strategically positions The Look Company to locally support its growing work in the United States for clients in sport and retail markets, such as the FIFA World Cup.
