Lightboxes consist of a printed graphic lit up from the back or side by LEDs housed in a metal frame or extrusion. The result is an eye-catching, bright image that attracts the attention of viewers. They increase viewer engagement by standing out amongst non-lit graphics as well as interior lighting fixtures and systems.
Lightboxes can be used in retail stores, auto showrooms, restaurants, conference centers, hotels, health clubs, grocery stores, meeting rooms, public transit, stadiums, airports, arenas, school, colleges and universities as well as theatres. UV flexible or rigid printing is a durable long lasting print process utilizing a vacuum flatbed table to perfectly align the print substrate to the print heads. The primary benefits of UV flexible or rigid printing is that the inks will adhere to most substrates and provide both brilliant colors and exceptionally high resolution print images.
Dye sublimation is a two-stage fabric printing process of digitally dye printing the fabric with heat activated dyes and then heat curing the printed fabric to achieve a vibrant, detailed and thorough printed image within the fabric.
All ink fades over time. Indoors, there is very little fading over many years (10+ years).Outdoors, dye sublimation inks can fade due to the effects of UV rays from sunlight. The rate of fade is dependent on the degree of exposure, intensity of exposure and the period of time of exposure.
Yes, inks are water based dyes.
Any fabric can be sublimated. Typically, polyester fabric is used for signage and visual engagement branding because of its tear strength, warp and weft stability, receptiveness to ink and minimal shrinkage due to wetness. The coating applied to the fabric is as important as the fabric and more important to the print results achieved on the fabric.
Silicone Edge Graphics (SEG) are dye sublimated graphics printed on tension fabric. The edges of the fabric are sewn with a thin silicone strip that is inserted into the frame’s grooves. The fabric can be easily changed out for seasonal changes and updates.
Tension fabric does not crease or wrinkle over time and retains it’s print quality, colour and detail, longer than paper substrates. It also does not reflect interior lighting, ensuring that your image is visible from any vantage point.
